European leaders will discuss support for Ukraine at a meeting in the UK

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Downing Street office announced that the European Political Community (EPC) meeting will be held at Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of World War II leader Winston Churchill.

About 50 heads of state and government are expected to participate in the fourth EBP meeting, the report said.

Downing Street noted that previous EPB summits had been “helpful in uniting Europe against Putin’s aggression”, forging European cooperation on energy security and tackling immigration crime.

The Kyiv government says it faces a difficult situation on the battlefield and is calling on the West to keep its promises of support and keep them.

The largest provider of support to Ukraine is the 27-member European Union, whose support is valued at 144.1 billion. euros, in second place is the United States with 67.7 billion. euros, followed by the United Kingdom with 15.7 billion. euros.

R. Sunaks, who faces a fight to stay in power in the elections later this year, called the EPB meeting “an important forum for pan-European cooperation in solving issues that affect us all and threaten our security and prosperity.”

“From providing comprehensive support to Ukraine to ending the scourge of people smuggling and illegal migration, the meeting, led by the United Kingdom, will bring together our European friends, partners and neighbors to address our shared challenges,” he added.

At the previous EPC meeting in Granada, discussions focused on artificial intelligence and illegal migration.

The European political community is a forum for European countries to coordinate policies. The idea of ​​the forum was conceived by French President Emmanuel Macron in 2022.
