After a long winter, which witnessed bitter fighting in areas close to Bakhmut, it seems that the Russian-Ukrainian war will witness new developments in the coming days.

The British newspaper “The Telegraph” said that Ukraine began to use European armored vehicles, which it reached during the last period, which indicates the beginning of the long-awaited counter-attack.

And reliable footage of NATO tanks participating in the fighting appeared on the Internet, according to the Telegraph.

The source said the videos showed the “Leopard 2” alongside smaller vehicles, which the source said were likely “Marders” or other armored infantry carriers.

The German Leopard 2 tanks are likely to pose a major threat to the Russian army, which is struggling to deploy its modern tanks such as the T-14.

It is also believed that the French-made AMX-10 destroyer is clashing with Russian forces, according to the same source.

In addition to the “Leopard”, the Ukrainian army now possesses other European tanks, such as the “British Challenger 2”, but they have not yet appeared on the battlefield.

European military assistance also includes large numbers of light vehicles such as the “Swiss CV-90”, which is one of the best infantry fighting vehicles in the world, and “Marder”, a German-made armored personnel vehicle.

This comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Saturday that counterattack and defensive operations are underway in Ukraine.

He added, “I don’t know how long it will take. To be honest, but we will do it. We believe very strongly that we will succeed.”

This is the first time that Zelensky has revealed the start of the counterattack, the details of which were kept secret by the Kiev authorities.
