Century-MCC

Europe needs a change that promotes peace. Justice Minister Bence Tuzson emphasized this on Tuesday at the conference “Europe in the Shadow of War – The Results of the Europe Project 2024” in Budapest’s Castle Garden Bazaar.
At a roundtable discussion at the Századvég and Matthias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) conference, he said that the most important issue in the EP elections in June was the question of war. What matters is not whether right-wing or left-wing parties win the elections in the member states, but whether they are for peace. As long as the current Hungarian government is in power in Hungary, Hungary will not give in on this issue, will not send soldiers and will not supply weapons for a war in a neighboring country.
“I am convinced that there will be a sovereign turnaround in Europe. In corridor discussions it is very clear that most European government members feel the same, even if they often do not say it openly due to their country’s official position.” Tuzson pointed out that European politics, regardless of party affiliation, is very far from the will of the people and economic reality. If this does not change, then Europe has no future.
Hungary’s own path
The Fidesz EP MP Tamás Deutsch pointed out that Hungary’s national and constitutional sovereignty was constantly under attack. “We have our own path. Hungary proves that even a medium-sized European country can create a situation in which it does not subordinate itself to stronger countries and succumb to ideological aspirations driven by the fashionable spirit of the times.” According to Deutsch, it is necessary that in the EP elections in all member states the sovereignist forces win.
