MANCHESTER: The first-ever Europe Canaan Men’s Doubles Badminton event for the Canaanite sports enthusiasts in Europe will begin on Saturday in Manchester. The matches will start at 12:30 pm at the Sports Arena in Manchester Middleton, the organizers said. Parishioner Fr. Nitin Sunny will perform. In the tournament that ends at 5 pm, parish vicar Fr. Jomon Punnoose, Vicar of the Liverpool Canaan Congregation Fr. Jarin T Raju will present the prize.
The league matches are played in two quarters and the matches are played in the quarter to knockout format and the players are exchanged on eight courts.
