Manchester United drew 2-2 at Old Trafford once morest Sevilla FC in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals. The Red Devils conceded 2 goals late in the game.
After having taken out Barcelona in the play-off for the round of 16 (2-2, 2-1) then the other Sevilla club, Betis (4-1, 1-0), the Red Devils seemed set to continue their spanish stroll.
A double from Sabitzer (14th / 21st) had put ManU on the right track. But the Spanish visitors came back thanks to two autogoals from Malacia (84th) and Maguire (92nd).
Juve do the job
Juventus dominated Sporting Portugal by a short header (1-0) in Turin. The Turinese, pushed out of the top-4 in Serie A because of their 15 penalty points for alleged accounting fraud, can therefore still hope to join the next Champions League in the event of success in the Europa League.
Note that Juve goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny had to leave just before the break for chest discomfort. Visibly worried, the 32-year-old Polish international came out in tears but the first exams were reassuring, according to Italian media.
