On Thursday at noon, the BNR calculated an average of transactions on the euro/leu pair of 4.97 lei, following a week ago the quote fluctuated between 4.92 and 4.93 lei for one euro. This is the most depreciated value of the leu, but it is possible that in the near future this record will be surpassed.

Regarding the EUR/RON exchange rate, 81% of the participants in the CFA Romania survey anticipate a depreciation of the leu in the next 12 months (compared to the current value). Thus, the average value of the expectations for the 12-month horizon, the average value of the anticipated exchange rate is 5.0274 lei for one euro.
