Eugenio Suárez hit a solo home run on Thursday in the Major League Baseball (MLB) game and was instrumental in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ close 1-0 victory over the Atlanta Braves.
The Bolívar native hit home runs for the second consecutive day in the four-game series being played at Chase Field in Phoenix.
Suárez delivered the decisive hit in the fifth inning of the game, which was a great pitching duel. He hit the ball through center field once morest Max Fried’s pitches to give his team the minimal advantage, which in the end took the victory.
Good present
In the last two games, the Arizona slugger has two home runs, four RBIs and three runs scored. He reached nine home runs and 44 RBIs.
The right-hander has had a first half of the season below expectations. He currently has a batting average of .210, although due to his awakening in recent games, it is expected that he will have an upturn for the second round.
The Cascabeles have a record of 47 wins and the same number of losses. They are third in the National League West Division, eight games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
