CANADIAN tennis star Eugenie Bouchard will appear in an exhibition match against local celebrity Luna Maya at the Gelora Bung Karno outdoor tennis stadium, Central Jakarta, Sunday (8/9).

The tennis player who was once ranked fifth in the world recorded a series of achievements, namely being the 2014 Wimbledon singles finalist after finishing in the semifinals of the previous two Grand Slams, the Australian Open and the French Open.

Bouchard, who is still actively pursuing a professional tennis career, also won the 2013 WTA Newcomer of the Year and 2014 Most Improved Player awards.

Event initiator Emil Malik Ibrahim said he had collaborated with the Central Board of the Indonesian Tennis Association (PP Pelti) to make the event a success.
