“Culiá convention, conventional conchesumadres”, were the words that cost him Teresa Marinovic a sanction by the Ethics Commission of this instance, which fined her 10% of her allowance for one time.

The event dates back to February 9, when before starting a press point, Marinovic declared the insults and asked the journalists present if they had already started recording, all amid laughter from some colleagues from Vamos Por Chile.

After this episode, the conventional Manuel Woldarsky and Victorino Antilef filed a complaint with the Ethics Committee that same day, while on February 10, another group of 35 constituents filed another claim, for which a procedure was opened.

From the ruling issued by the committee, it stands out that Marinovic did not come to defend himself and limited himself to presenting a 3-point communication, where he states that he does not recognize the Ethics Committee’s competence and calls on the complainants to use “their time better.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the commitment I made to my constituents was to say things “by their name” and I never referred to the fact that I would do it in an elegant way”, added the graduate in philosophy in her letter.

Against this background, it was established that Marinovic violated several articles of the Ethics regulation of the Constitutional Convention, for which it was determined to fine her with 10% of her diet for one month.

“Apply to the conventional constituent Mrs. Teresa Margarita Natalia Marinovic Vial
the sanction of reprimand, coupled with a fine amounting to 10% of their diet, for a
one time only,” says the ruling.
