There is movement in the investment landscape. ETFs are becoming more and more active. So far, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) have been considered passive investments. This is because this product replicated an index and there was no fund manager actively buying or selling stocks or bonds in the product as a result of any particular investment strategy. This also made ETFs cheaper compared to conventional funds, which made them popular with investors.
