General Council » According to the Municipal Council, it was a good deal. “If I had eight million francs to invest, I guarantee you that I would buy this building”, declared Eric Chassot (the center), syndic of Estavayer. The Executive went all out on Wednesday evening to convince the municipal parliament to acquire a building to be built in the vast residential area Les Portes du Lac, between the Salle de la Prillaz and the Route de Grandcour. The trustee offered his fellow citizens “a strategic purchase” for the municipality, with the acquisition of a building which will include apartments and commercial areas: the collection of rents should bring in 325,000 francs per year with a gross rental yield by 4.3%.
