Essap renews elements of the pumping station in Coronel Oviedo and guarantees continuous operation

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Paraguayan Sanitation Services Company (Essap) reported that the operational works to renovate the elements of the wastewater pumping station in the “1st of March” neighborhood of the city of Coronel Oviedo have been completed, which will allow the continuous operation of the sewage system and thus prevent overflows of sewage effluents.

For this work, officials from the Sanitary Sewerage Management carried out the work for four days and carried out the change of the electrical control panel, electrical conductors, renewal of metal-mechanical elements and the installation of two electric pumps.

The investment in the two electric pumps amounts to approximately G. 1,100,000,000, in addition to the renovation of the control panel, the amount of which is around G. 50,000,000.

“ESSAP concentrates its prevention efforts on all parts of the wastewater system, from the pipes that initially receive waste from homes and businesses to the end of the cycle with its treatment at the treatment plant,” the institution reported.

It also reminds users and the general public to make proper use of the sanitary sewer system, avoiding the disposal of solid waste, fabrics, plastics and chemical products that could cause obstructions or damage to the elements of the system, thus reducing its useful life.
