Asuncion, IP Agency.- At the end of July, the Paraguayan Sanitation Services Company (ESSAP SA) has a positive balance of the actions developed during the intensive service cut and reconnection plan, which will allow for a significant investment in the cities of Villa Hayes and Nanawa, without neglecting the entire Metropolitan Area, reported its head, Luis Fernando Bernal.

He explained that the statistical data collected shows a significant increase in commercial management actions, resulting in a considerable increase in cuts due to non-payment which, to date, is equal to 180% based on the previous average, resulting in a collection of 22% higher than in July 2023. At the same time, actions to detect and intervene in illegal or irregular connections were intensified. The Commercial Inspection Coordination together with the Inspection Directorate have carried out a total of 833 interventions, which has made it possible to reduce the loss of unaccounted water and guarantee equity in the provision of drinking water services.
