L’Spanish had started his meeting very badly: fifteen minutes into the game, Elche was already leading by two goals following a brace from Pere Milla. Just before half-time, Raul de Tomas allowed the Catalans to pick up the score from the penalty spot (45th + 3, 2-1).

In the second half, Landry Dimata came into play in the 67th, but failed to help Espanyol get back into the game. The Barcelona therefore remain 11th in LaLiga, while Elche takes the opportunity to get out of the red zone, now at 2 points.
