Espace René-Lévesque in Montreal | The Journal of Montreal

As part of theLevesque Yearfrom August 24 to November 10, the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, the René-Lévesque Foundation and the Espace René-Lévesque present free of charge in the Quartier des Spectacles Espace René-Lévesque in Montreal: the journey of an exceptional man. The event is an initiative of the René-Lévesque Foundation, presented by Quebecor, in collaboration with Hydro-Québec and with the financial participation of the Government of Quebec.

Ericka Alneus, from the City of Montreal, is accompanied by Minister Simon Jolin-Barrette, Lucien Bouchard, honorary president of theLevesque Year and representing the René-Lévesque Foundation, Monique Simard, President of the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership Board of Directors, Pascale Bourbeau and her spouse, Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quebecor.

Marie Lamoureux, from the Quartier des Spectacles team, brilliantly hosted the launch. On the photo, Éric Lefebvre, CEO of the PQDS, Marie-Josée Desrochers, CEO of the PDA, and Mylaine Albert, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications of the PDA.

Located on the Promenade des Artistes, the exhibition is a reproduction of the Espace René-Lévesque, a museum-garden located in New Carlisle in Gaspésie. Louis Bernard is surrounded by Hélène Leclère, from Espace René-Lévesque, and Ms.e François Ferland, of the René-Lévesque Foundation.

The new generations have an opportunity to meet René-Lévesque, one of the great builders of contemporary Quebec. Pictured here are former minister Claude Charron and former Bloc Québécois leader Gilles Duceppe.

Daniel Fortin, curator of the course, seen here with Ericka Alneus, member of the executive committee of the City of Montreal, has created an artistic course to which Place des Arts and UQAM have joined.

The exhibition is made up of eight areas recounting the major stages in the life of René Lévesque. Pierre Gagnon, from Hydro-Québec, is accompanied by Marie-Anne Alepin, SSJB general president.
