(Keystone-ATS) The number of layoffs at ESH Médias is now known: 27 people will lose their jobs, including 6 within the editorial offices of the group which notably publishes ArcInfo, Le Nouvelliste and La Côte.
The consultation phase, which ended last week, made it possible to “significantly reduce” the number of layoffs, ESH Médias said in a press release on Tuesday. At the end of January, the group announced that it would eliminate up to 40 positions (out of a total of 340) in order to reduce its annual fixed costs by 4 million francs.
Various measures and initiatives have made it possible to reduce the number of layoffs, including unfilled vacant positions, voluntary departures and other organizational adaptations. The 27 dismissals will be pronounced “in the coming days” and the people concerned will benefit from “support measures”.
