If you’ve ever visited a site that requires some extra authentication in addition to your password, it’s very likely that you’ve already come across a box containing a CAPTCHA.
It is a set of letters, numbers or images that are randomly generated. Thus, it is necessary that you identify them to confirm that you are not a robot and to grant access to the content.
The good news is that Apple makes this process easy if you’re already signed in to the device with your Apple ID. With that, the automatic check performs this authentication privately on apps and websites.
It is enabled by default in iOS/iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura 13 (or later). However, you can manually check this or even disable it — whatever the reason.
