Errors were found on posters with the Latvian anthem posted in Riga

In response to the indignation of music experts due to the inaccurate depiction of the notes of the Latvian national anthem on posters dedicated to the Day of Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia, the Riga City Council decided to remake them.

On social media, local music experts are discussing the inaccurate depiction of the notes of the Latvian anthem on posters decorating city stands.

Singer and mezzo-soprano Kristīne Freimane asked her Facebook followers about the appropriateness of displaying the notes of the anthem on the poster on the poster.

Other music experts also responded to this post, including Sanita Sejane, whose husband Andris Sejans corrected inaccuracies directly on one of the posters, because “he could not ignore such serious errors in the musical notation.”

As reported in the Riga City Council, the Riga Municipality apologizes for the erroneous information on city posters and promises to correct it immediately. The Duma explains that they carelessly adopted an untested visual solution, which was also placed in the urban environment.
