Error in “Harry Potter” special
Makers admit mistake for Emma
Mistake in the Harry Potter special on Sky: Instead of the young Emma Watson, there is a picture of a child by colleague Emma Roberts.
Embarrassing mistake in “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts”: In the special for the 20th birthday of the first “Harry Potter” movie, the makers wanted to show a picture of Emma Watson (31) as a child. But instead of the Hermione actress, they faded in an old photo of colleague Emma Roberts. Fans drew attention to the blunder, the producers have now reacted.
A spectator pointed out the faux pas via Twitter. She put a screenshot from the special with the alleged Emma Watson next to the same picture that Emma Roberts had once posted herself.
“New version will follow shortly”
Opposite “Entertainment Weekly” the makers admitted the mistake – and promised a correction. “Be careful, Harry Potter fans,” the producers wrote in their statement. “You have drawn our attention to an editing error caused by an incorrectly labeled photo. A new version will be published shortly.”
In “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” the actors around Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe (32) and Rupert Grint (33) meet. You look back on the start of the franchise, which was launched 20 years ago with “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”.
The reunion special has been on Sky and Sky Ticket since January 1, 2022, initially in the English version with German subtitles. A dubbed version should come out at the end of January.
