Erling Haaland scored two goals to lead Manchester City, the defending champion, to advance to the round of sixteen of the Champions League with two matches left in the group stage, following a 3-0 victory over its guest, Young Boys of Switzerland, on Tuesday.

Coach Pep Guardiola’s team continued its perfect start and secured a place in the knockout stages following collecting 12 points following four matches in Group Seven.

Young Boys, who completed the match with ten men following Sandro Lober was sent off in the 53rd minute, are in fourth place and have one point.
