SOLIDARITAS Erlangga, which is part of Erlangga Publisher’s CSR, has successfully held short story writing training activities.
The resource persons for this training are Asri Rakhmawati, or better known as Achi TM, and Agung Argopo, who is a famous book and screenplay writer. Achi TM has produced more than 50 works, including the novel Insyaallah Syah, while Agung Argopo is known as the screenwriter of Tendangan Si Madun.
The training was carried out in a roadshow format at several Islamic boarding schools, starting from the Tebuireng Islamic Boarding School, Jombang, East Java (17/10), followed by the Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussallam Gontor Putra Campus 2, Ponorogo (18/10), Gontor Putri, Ngawi (19 /10), and closed at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School, Purwakarta (21/10).

The theme of this training is “Moving Simultaneously Forward with Indonesian Santri”. Other training activities are also held in Islamic boarding schools throughout Indonesia such as Ponpes Daarul Arqam Garut, Ponpes Al Irsyad Surabaya, Ponpes Dayah Al-Muslimun Lhoksukon, Ponpes Oemar Diyan Aceh Besar, Ponpes Cipasung Tasikmalaya Regency, Ponpes Askabul Kahfi Semarang, Ponpes Darussalam Palembang, Ponpes Raudhatul Ulum Saka Tiga, Islamic Boarding School Attaqwa Putra Bekasi, Islamic Boarding School Al Hikmah 2 Sirampog Cirebon, Islamic Boarding School Utsaimin and Al Fauzan Pekanbaru, Islamic Boarding School Babussalam Pekanbaru, Islamic Boarding School Darul Huffaz Lampung, Islamic Boarding School Mawaridussalam, Batang Kuis Deli Serdang during October.
The main aim of this activity is to increase literacy and develop writing talent, especially in writing short stories. It is also hoped that this activity can build students’ and female students’ self-confidence in expressing ideas and stories through writing.
During the training, participants learn effective writing techniques and have the opportunity to present the short stories they have created. This moment is important to appreciate the results of the participants’ hard work and get direct feedback from the supervisors.

This activity is a positive step in strengthening the culture of literacy among students and providing a platform for them to speak out and create. It is hoped that through this training, talented young writers will be born who can contribute to the world of Indonesian literature in the future.
Achi TM, on this occasion, invited participants who had short stories to submit them to Erlangga, because there was an opportunity for them to be published in a book on the theme of Santri Writing.
Meanwhile, Ning Ni’maturrohmah, Dzurriyah Pesantren Tebuireng, who received cooperation with Erlangga, conveyed the purpose of holding this event.
“We want to develop the potential of Tebuireng students to become future writers, and we have selected those here who appear capable and have a literacy spirit, and whose seeds of success we can see, so we take the core first and then they spread it to other children,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of Care for Gontor Putra 2, Ustaz Suwito Djemari welcomed the short story writing training activity held by Erlangga Publisher.
“Literacy development is one of the programs at Islamic boarding schools that is of concern to us, for that we would like to thank you for this collaboration,” he said.
The head of the Darussalam Purwakarta Modern Islamic Boarding School, Al-Ustaz Ma’ruf Abdullah, said that knowledge is broad, you can learn from anyone and anywhere.
“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful to be given the opportunity to host writing training activities held by Erlangga Publishers. “Hopefully this knowledge will be useful for the students and female students who are present here,” he concluded. (Z-1)
