Amid the chaos that is gripping society following the discussion of the revision of the Regional Election Law in Parliament, the attention of netizens on social media has shifted to the upload of Erina Gudono, Kaesang Pangarep’s wife, on Instagram.

Erina, daughter-in-law of President Joko Widodo, uploaded several moments from her trip to the United States. One of the most highlighted was when she bought a baby stroller with a luxury brand and a high price.

So, who exactly is Marie Antoinette, and why is her name continually associated with figures who are considered insensitive to social conditions?

Marie Antoinette is an enduring figure in French history. She was born an Austrian princess and lived a life of luxury, political intrigue, and tragedy.

As queen, she lived in the magnificent Palace of Versailles, a symbol of the opulence of the French monarchy. Life at court, though full of intrigue and rivalry, was marked by lavish parties and expensive art collections.

However, his extravagant lifestyle angered the French people who were suffering from famine and poverty at the time, making him a symbol of the monarchy’s indifference.

Erina Gudono may not be the same as Marie Antoinette, but this comparison shows how behavior that is considered insensitive to social situations can elicit strong reactions from the public.

In this digital age, where every move can be monitored and commented on, even a trivial action can trigger a wave of widespread criticism. (Z-3)
