Ericsson cuts every tenth job in Sweden

As part of a savings program, Ericsson wants to reduce personnel costs. Therefore, around 1,400 jobs would be cut in Sweden, the Swedish telecom equipment supplier announced on Monday. This corresponds to around ten percent of the workforce there.

Ericsson wants to save 809 million euros by the end of the year.

According to insiders, the company will also announce that it will cut several thousand jobs in other states in the coming days. Because of the weakening demand, Ericsson had set a savings target of the equivalent of 809 million euros by the end of 2023.
