Erectile dysfunction: discover this effective (and free) alternative to Viagra

Faced with erection problems, many men often turn to the Viagra. But, a recent study highlights another option than the famous little blue pill. Researchers from Baylor College of Medicine, Boston Scientific and Miller Scientific in the United States assure that regular exercise sessions may be as effective as taking Viagra in managing erectile dysfunction. According to them, three 30-minute sessions per week could even be enough to notice a difference.

For this study, scientists analyzed 11 previous studies involving 1,147 participants in total. As a result, they found that practicing certain aerobic activities such as walking or cycling, done for at least half an hour three times a week, improved erectile function in all men with erectile dysfunction. The greatest benefits were seen in men with more severe erectile dysfunction. “On a standardized scale of 6 to 30, people with severe erectile dysfunction who exercised saw an average improvement of 5 points, compared to 2 to 3 points of improvement for mild or moderate erectile dysfunction,” summarizes Science Alert (source 1).

Aerobics on prescription?

The researchers point out that the results do not appear to vary depending on the health problems or medication use of the participants. “ Exercise is low risk and affordablemaking it an ideal first-line treatment option for erectile difficulties, especially for patients who are unwilling or unable to use medications,” emphasizes Larry Miller of Miller Scientific.
