President Recep Tayyip Erdogan he stated that (Turkey) being a country surrounded by seas, having a strong naval force is not a choice but a necessity.
President Erdoğan attended the Homeland Blue Exercise 2022 (Mavi Vatan 2022) via a live link.
Erdogan said that as the nation with the deepest state and military tradition in the world, they have armed forces ready to protect the right, relevance and interests of the country in both peace and war.
Emphasizing that the heroic turkish armyon the one hand, it successfully carries out many important tasks at the borders and beyond, on the other hand, it continues its exercises, for which it reviews its preparations, as planned, the president specified:
“Exercise Patria Azul 2022 has been taking place since April 11, both to complete preparations for the operation and to test the effectiveness of our domestic and national weapons systems. Fortunately, our exercise, which our Naval Forces Command carried out in coordination with other force commands and public institutions in the Black Sea, the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean, completed successfully.”
Noting that the ships, planes, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and special service personnel that participated in the exercise demonstrated that they are always ready for the operation by carrying out their duties, the president added: “As a country surrounded by seas by three sides, having a strong naval force is not a choice but a necessity.”
Erdogan congratulated the members of the Naval, Land and Air CommandsGendarmerie and Coast Guard and other institutions that participated in the Blue Homeland Exercise 2022.
