Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan highlighted what distinguishes the UAE in its relations with Turkey among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, before the upcoming visit, which he announced will be on Monday.
This came in an article published by “Khaleej Times” and reported by the official Turkish Anatolia News Agency, where he said: “My visit to the UAE demonstrates the importance we attach to friendship relations and provides them with the opportunity to further advance cooperation relations … All countries in the region are important to Turkey, and the UAE is important as Turkey’s largest trading partner. among the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
He continued, “The volume of trade between the two countries increased from $7.3 billion in 2019 to $8.9 billion in 2020, an increase of 21 percent,” noting that “I am confident that Turkey and the UAE can jointly contribute to peace, cooperation and regional prosperity.”
Erdogan added, “Turkey does not see the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates and all its brothers in the Gulf region separate from its security and stability. Turkey aims to strengthen cooperation with the UAE in the fields of energy, health, agriculture, logistics, infrastructure, finance, tourism, climate change, energy, water and food security.”
