**Interview with Dr. Ali Kadir, Expert on International Relations**
**Editor:** Welcome, Dr. Kadir. Thank you for joining us today to discuss President Erdogan’s recent remarks on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). What do you think is the significance of his emphasis on the OIC’s role in addressing global challenges?
**Dr. Kadir:** Thank you for having me. Erdogan’s statements highlight a pivotal moment for the OIC. He is advocating for a more proactive approach from the organization, particularly in addressing issues that affect Muslim communities worldwide, such as conflicts, humanitarian crises, and political instability. This could enhance the OIC’s relevance on the global stage.
**Editor:** Erdogan mentioned the need for unity among OIC member states. How crucial is this unity in the current geopolitical landscape?
**Dr. Kadir:** Unity among OIC member states is vital, especially when we consider the increasing polarization in global politics. A cohesive stance can strengthen their collective bargaining power in international forums and allow them to address regional issues more effectively. Disunity often leads to a lack of action, which can perpetuate existing conflicts.
**Editor:** He also spoke about the importance of humanitarian assistance. What role do you see the OIC playing in this area?
**Dr. Kadir:** The OIC can serve as a platform for coordinating humanitarian efforts, pooling resources, and providing assistance to countries facing crises. By leveraging its diverse membership, the OIC can effectively mobilize support for humanitarian initiatives, particularly in conflict zones where Muslim populations are affected.
**Editor:** Lastly, how do you foresee the future of the OIC in light of these statements from Erdogan?
**Dr. Kadir:** If the OIC can rally its members to take decisive action based on Erdogan’s call, it could emerge as a stronger force for diplomatic engagement and conflict resolution. However, the effectiveness will largely depend on the commitment of member states to set aside their differences and work toward common goals.
**Editor:** Thank you, Dr. Kadir, for sharing your insights on this important topic. We appreciate your time.
**Dr. Kadir:** Thank you for having me. It’s been a pleasure.
