Erdogan announced the rescue from the rubble in Turkey 8 thousand people

Rescuers working in the earthquake-affected territories of Turkey pulled more than 8,000 people alive from the rubble, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. According to him, most of the 81 thousand victims have already been discharged from hospitals.

“We plan to quickly restore all the destroyed cities. More than 100 countries of the world, primarily the Arab states, sent us help or expressed their condolences,” the Turkish president added in a video message to the participants of the World Government Summit in Dubai (his recording is available on YouTube channel summit).

According to the UN on February 13, as a result of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria, 37 thousand people died. The earthquake occurred on the night of February 6 and led to the complete destruction of several cities.
