Ercan Kara will probably leave Rapid Vienna for MLS. As Sky reported, the 26-year-old striker’s new club is said to be Orlando City.
Accordingly, Kara is no longer in the Hütteldorfer training camp, but is already on the way to Florida to make the change. If the medical check is routine, nothing stands in the way of a signature. With Rapid one is already in agreement with the franchise. There should also be a fee due to the remaining contract, but the amount is unknown.
Kara will receive a contract as a “designated player” and will thus fall out of the salary cap. Incidentally, ex-United player Nani, who recently migrated to Ullmann & Co. to Venezia, recently occupied this slot with the “Lions”.
No less prominent is Kara’s future strike partner. Once heralded as a child prodigy, Alexandre Pato (32) recently extended his contract for another season until the end of 2022.
