His appointment by the ams OSRAM Supervisory Board took place on January 30, 2023, as announced. In addition, effective April 1, 2023, Aldo Kamper was appointed CEO of ams OSRAM Group subsidiary OSRAM Licht AG. With almost thirty years of experience, Aldo Kamper is a proven expert in the semiconductor industry and an experienced CEO. He comes to ams OSRAM from Leoni AG, where he was CEO of the Leoni Group. Aldo Kamper started his career at OSRAM, where following various functions, including numerous management tasks, he took on the role of CEO of the Opto Semiconductors business unit. Throughout his career he has pioneered the development of microLED technology, dynamic vehicle front lighting and roadmaps for high performance LEDs for new applications such as horticultural lighting. “I look forward to leading this company and, together with our teams and the Supervisory Board, to further developing our strategic focus and our implementation strength,” says Kamper. “ams OSRAM’s expertise in generating, capturing and processing light makes us the partner of choice for many industries.
