Bruce Frankel, 61, sued police after an officer handcuffed him, claiming he was resisting arrest — all while the San Anselmo resident suffered a seizure.
According to KTVU, his lawsuit is based on the fact that police created a “cover-up” story full of “lies” by arresting him on false charges to justify what he describes as the use of excessive force.
The traumatic ordeal began when Bruce’s fiancee called 911 around 2:51 a.m. on August 29, 2022, to report that her husband was not breathing.

Bruce has now sued the Central Police Authority after officers stunned him with a Taser and arrested him while he was having a seizure in his bedroom, claiming police used excessive force.
Police Chief Michael Norton said his department “regrets that Bruce Frankel has chosen to pursue legal action against us for an alleged improper emergency medical response to him.”
