According to the developers, the level structure of Final Fantasy XVI was inspired by Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XII. In other words, instead of the classic open world, players are waiting for a set of sequential locations, contextually intertwined.

It is noted that during the passage of the Final Fantasy XVI story campaign, players will visit various regions of Valestia. After completing business in the next location, you return to the conditional hub, offering access to merchants, blacksmiths, and certain optional content.

At the same time, players will also be able to freely return to previously explored locations from the hub. By re-visiting the levels, the developers plan to motivate the audience by adding new content additional activities and tasks will begin to appear in the explored territories.

The game will offer both open locations with the ability to move freely across large spaces, as well as strictly linear levels. conditional dungeons that have a clear structure with a beginning, middle and end.

Final Fantasy XVI will launch worldwide on June 22 exclusively on PlayStaiton 5. Western journalists call Final Fantasy XVI “an example of a real nextgen”.
