[이데일리 김정유 기자] Epic Games Korea announced on the 17th that its game ‘Paul Guys’ will be converted to a free play service from the 21st of next month and will be newly released for the Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox.
With an Epic Games account, cross-play and cross-progression features are fully supported on all supported platforms.
In addition, a new season, ‘All of us Free Play’ will also be released. The accompanying season pass can unlock new costumes and various content, and can also be purchased with the new in-game currency, Shopbucks. All users who purchased ‘Pol Guys’ before the free conversion will also receive a ‘Legacy Pack’ including the Season 1 Pass and various items for free.
‘Pol Guys’ provides various events and benefits to commemorate the free conversion. Up to 5 in-game items are free for pre-orders. In addition, if you sign up for the ‘Pol Guys’ Naver Game Lounge channel and make a reservation in advance, a total of 1,000 Naver Pay points coupons will be provided through a lottery.

On the other hand, ‘Pol Guys’ is a battle royale game in which up to 60 people play mini-game rounds until the final winner is revealed. It was released for PC and PlayStation 4 in August 2020. Epic Games acquired Mediatonic, the developer of ‘Pol Guys’ in March last year.
