Environmental and double contingency suspended today does not circulate in the Valley of Mexico

The agency explained that the High Pressure System that remained in the Valley of Mexico moved towards the Gulf of Mexico, favoring greater ventilation and causing a better dispersion of ozone, although the rest of the meteorological variables remained without relevant changes.

The CAMe explained that although Phase 1 of the Environmental Contingency was suspended, the ozone season prevails, so it recommended that the population use the car to a lesser extent.

“The general population is invited to avoid, as far as possible, the use of the car, with the aim of contributing to the reduction of emissions and minimizing the risk that tomorrow, Thursday, May 5, levels of Bad to Very Bad air quality are reached once more, given that adverse conditions will still prevail for the dispersion of pollutants”, explained in a statement.
