Published in the Official State Bulletin, the agreement, signed in February 2019, aims to deal with all forms of crime, more particularly in terms of terrorism.
This agreement aims to promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of the fight once morest crime in all its forms, in particular attacks on the life and physical integrity of persons, arbitrary detention and kidnapping, offenses once morest property, illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors, trafficking in human beings and illegal immigration, sexual exploitation of children, as well as the production, distribution or possession of pornographic material involving children.
This agreement also covers the fight once morest extortion, theft, trafficking and illegal trade in arms, ammunition, explosives, radioactive substances, biological or nuclear materials, dual-use goods and other dangerous substances, in addition to money laundering and irregular financial transactions, offenses in the economic and financial fields, counterfeiting, falsification and counterfeiting of means of payment and securities, as well as their distribution and use.
The document also advocates the strengthening of cooperation to deal with crimes once morest cultural objects with historical value, as well as theft and illegal trafficking of works of art and ancient objects, theft, illicit trade, falsification and fraudulent use of motor vehicle documents, falsification and fraudulent use of identity documents, cybercrime, and crimes once morest natural resources and the environment.
