Entrup scored LASK in the finish to a 2-1 win in Altach

The striker scored in the 90th and 94th minutes, dashing Vorarlberg’s hopes of their first win after nine rounds. Pascal Estrada gave the home team the lead in the 65th minute. The Upper Austrians moved up to seventh place in the Bundesliga table, Altach is penultimate on points with bottom team GAK.

In the first half, the 4,793 spectators in the Cashpoint Arena saw little to no highlights. There was a fight and cramp, the game was disjointed, there was only one real chance before the break: Maximilian Entrup shot from a good position to the center of Altach keeper Dejan Stojanovic (18th).

The misery continued in the second half before Altach struck. LASK goalie Jörg Siebenhandl was only able to deflect a cross from coach brother Sandro Ingolitsch briefly, Lukas Fadinger shot from the penalty area and his shot was decisively deflected by Estrada.

Only then did the LASK wake up. Florian Flecker was denied by Stojanovic (70th) and missed the target with a volley (74th). Stojanovic was also on the spot when Entrup volleyed (84′). In the final phase, Linz’s efforts were rewarded. First, Entrup equalized after forcing his way through the Altach defense, then he was successful after preparatory work by Marin Ljubicic. Thanks to their first competitive win after two games, LASK remained unbeaten in their 14th league appearance in Altach.

### Interview with LASK‍ Linz Coach Post-Match Victory

**Editor:** We’re joined today by LASK Linz’s head coach, who just witnessed an ⁤exhilarating finish in their match against SC Altach.⁤ Coach,⁢ thanks ⁢for taking the time to speak with us!

**Coach:** My pleasure! It was quite an intense game, that’s for sure.

**Editor:**‌ It looked‌ like a tough match, especially in the first half. What were your thoughts on your team’s performance during that period?

**Coach:** You’re right, the first half was disjointed ‍with limited action. The players ⁣struggled to find their rhythm, which was frustrating. We had‌ a ‌good chance with Entrup, but there wasn’t much to write home about until the second ⁣half.

**Editor:** However, the game shifted dramatically in the final minutes. Can ⁢you‌ walk us through the comeback?

**Coach:** Absolutely! After conceding that unfortunate goal, the players showed incredible determination. We had to ⁣remind them of⁣ what we were ‍capable⁤ of. It was all about staying focused and not⁤ giving up, and they really responded in those final moments.

**Editor:** Maximilian Entrup was pivotal, scoring both the equalizer‌ and the winner. What did you ‍see from him ⁤that sparked this turnaround?

**Coach:** Entrup has that spark and the hunger⁤ for goals. When he powered ‍through the ⁣Altach defense, ‍it was a turning point. His tenacity was key, and he really stepped ⁢up when it mattered most. Also, credit to Marin Ljubicic for providing the assist on the winning ⁢goal.

**Editor:** With this win, LASK moves up to seventh place in the Bundesliga table. What does this victory⁤ mean for the team moving forward?

**Coach:** This win was crucial for our ⁤confidence, especially after some tough matches. We are now unbeaten in 14 competitive games, and it sets a‌ positive tone for our upcoming fixtures. We need to build on this momentum and continue improving as a squad.

**Editor:** Lastly, any reflections on SC Altach’s performance,‍ particularly given their struggles this season?

**Coach:** Altach showed resilience ⁣and fought hard. They’re in a tricky spot, and I believe with a bit of luck, they’ll find ⁤their way back. Soccer is a funny game; sometimes, results don’t reflect the ⁤effort put in, and I wish them the best going forward.

**Editor:** Thank you for your insights, ⁤Coach. Congratulations on the win, and good luck in your next matches!

**Coach:** Thank you! We’re looking forward to⁣ the challenges ahead.
