In view of the gradual commissioning of the Rapid Transit Bus (Brt), a meeting has been planned at the Dakar governance, to discuss the handling of security issues. This meeting brought together administrative and municipal authorities and officials from Cetud, Ageroute, and Dakar mobility under the leadership of Al Hassane Sall, governor of the Dakar region.

Safety is a major concern in view of the gradual commissioning of the Bus Rapid Transit (Brt) in Dakar. Administrative and municipal authorities, as well as officials from Cetud, Ageroute and Dakar Mobility participated in this meeting, under the leadership of the governor of the Dakar region, Al Hassane Sall.

« From Wednesday May 15, the entry into circulation of the Brt between Guédiawaye and Pétersen will be commercially effective. However, throughout the corridor will be under the supervision of Commissioner Ka” announces Governor Sall. And to specify that “a specific police brigade for the Brt is set up by the Minister of the Interior and will be led by Commissioner Ka. »

« The security aspect is essential and will be with the traffic police on the one hand, but also with the special brigade and the firefighters” specifies Governor Sall before recalling that “ 24/24 the corridor will be secure and isolated from any other foreign body to the Brt. The police will actually be present at the various intersections and especially where there is a lack of signage.”

The governor invites those responsible for Cetud, Ageroute, and Dakar mobility to communicate permanently with the populations, pedestrians and other motorists so that they take ownership of this tool and its infrastructures as their property and above all to adapt for the good of all.
