The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, indicated today, Saturday, that: “The movement is not shaken despite the storms, and we continue with our faith in our cause and in Lebanon.”

He added at the Educational Office dinner, “You are the second youth home and you help us to prevent young people from heading toward the policy of incitement, hatred, and division.”

Bassil continued, “We present a unified speech and ask you to educate young people on the sound national path.”

He continued, “The state, with its policy, oppresses the educational sector and the wrong policies have led to this reality where the educational sector is threatened.”

Bassil added: “If we lose the educational sector, we will have lost a great Lebanese advantage, and hence the necessity of giving the professor his due within a developed system.”

He considered that “the dangers that threaten us are now affecting our existence, and facing war takes many forms, and there are young people who are martyring for the sake of Lebanon.”

Bassil pointed out, “Military resistance is not enough. Rather, there is economic and cultural resistance. The Lebanese are leaders in all countries, but Lebanon is a failed state.”

He said: “There is a potential for the danger of war, and Israel will not be able to defeat Lebanon despite its destructive power.”

Bassil continued, “The danger is when someone ‘plays’ with the foundations of Lebanon and the reason for its existence is the partnership between the Lebanese as Christians and Muslims, and when the role of any component ceases to exist, Lebanon ceases to exist.”

He added, “Today, existence is threatened because partnership is threatened, and this is the real danger, and we will not ignore it, and here is the role of the “current.”

Bassil concluded: “They are all spectators, but we are confronted with them wanting us to forget that there is a violation of the Constitution and the Charter by trying to portray the matter as a struggle over quotas.”
