Open Enrollment Offers Opportunities for Savings
Luckily, early and pre-retirees have several health insurance options available through Colorado‘s official health insurance marketplace. Enrollment for plan year 2025 is open now, and Coloradans have until December 15th to enroll in a plan and begin receiving benefits on January 1st, 2025.
The marketplace is the only place where Coloradans can receive federal financial assistance to help purchase health insurance. More than 30% of customers in 2024 are 55 and older, and projections indicate that 90% of customers in this age group will qualify for financial help in 2025.
“For plan year 2025, we expect that 3 out of 5 customers will find a plan during open enrollment for $10 or less a month,” said Kevin Patterson, chief executive officer. “Plan prices and options change every year, so we encourage residents to access our experts and tools to review options and find the best plan for their family’s health needs and budget.”
Diverse Plan Options Available
Six health insurance companies will offer medical plans for the 2025 plan year, including Anthem, Cigna, Denver Health, Kaiser Permanente, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, and Select Health.
Dental and vision plans are also provided by several providers.
