This Wednesday, the political leader Enrique Márquez announced that he will ask the Public Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the five main directors of the National Electoral Council (CNE) before the Lack of presidential election results.
According to the presidential candidate of the elections held on July 28, a criminal investigation must be carried out in this regard after, to date, the detailed figures of the process have not been presented.
“We will request an investigation (against the CNE) because they are destroying the support of the republic, which is the vote (…) they are hiding without giving an answer”explained Márquez on August 14 at a press conference.
He also called on the CNE authoritiesto which He asked to open the voting booths as a “legally valid” measure and thus know exactly the results of the elections.
“The way to resolve this is there, at the ballot boxes, this is an advantage of our electoral system because we have electronic votes and the physical one of each one inside the boxes”the political leader claimed.
In his opinion, if there really was a hack, as reported by the country’s electoral body, manual counting must be used with the ballots in the voting booths in the hands of the CNE.
