This Friday, the former presidential candidate and leader of the Centrados party, Enrique Marquezoffered a press conference after appearing before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), pursuant to the judicial summons issued by the Electoral Chamber for the “review of the electoral results.”
The former rector of the CNE also said that his hearing in the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ was “very strange.”
“I went to the Court respecting the authority of the Supreme Court of Justice, however, I was surprised by an audience that was empty, I was not asked any questions nor was I allowed to establish verbal communication.“, held.
Márquez reported that he managed to obtain a document in which Centrados makes a series of proposals regarding the process being carried out by the TSJ, including a request for an investigation by the CNE.
“The first thing I want to say is that the five rectors (of the CNE) are committing a criminal offense for violating the popular sovereignty contained in the vote.“, he noted.
The opposition leader questioned the CNE’s argument that 15 days later they still cannot release the results because there was an attack, but they did take them to the TSJ.
Enrique Márquez also sent a message to prosecutor Tarek William Saab: Don’t you think that the main troublemaker is the CNE for not publishing the minutes? I’m not the winner, but I want the truth and I’m going to defend it wherever I am.“, the former candidate stated.
“Given the reasonable doubt that the people have, as big as the full moon, I ask the Supreme Court of Justice to order the CNE to open the boxes and count vote by vote.“, he said.
