The head of the Jalisco government reported that he was out of the country, preparing his return. “Thank you for everything, boss, I love you very much, you will be greatly missed,” he wrote.

Alfaro Anguiano was born on June 23, 1942 in Guadalajara, son of Enrique Alfaro González and Ernestina Anguiano de Alfaro.
He completed his primary and secondary studies at the Febres Cordero School and, in 1960, he entered the Vocational School of the University of Guadalajara to complete his high school education. He subsequently studied at the Faculty of Law at the same university, graduating as a lawyer in 1967.

Was President of the Federation of Students of Guadalajara (FEG) from 1967 to 1969. He also served as Professor of Economics, Civics and Universal Literature in several secondary schools and was head of the Social Service Office at the Zapopan City Council.

Enrique Javier Alfaro Anguiano occupied several positions at the University of Guadalajara. He was a member of the Regulations Committee and the Education Committee of the General University Council. He also served as secretary and director of Preparatory School No. 4, and director of the Preparatory Education Department.
Was appointed secretary general from the University of Guadalajara in 1975, a position he held until 1983. Finally, he was rector of the university from April 1, 1983 to March 31, 1989.
The institution highlights that during its administration the International Book Fair was established and the presidential decree was obtained declaring the Sierra de Manantlán a Biosphere Reserve.
