The Enns city tower has been a restricted area since December 20th: for security reasons, visitors were forbidden from accessing the popular landmark. The background to this decision was defects in the 465-year-old facade, caused by the strong temperature fluctuations.
The danger spots were now removed by a stonemason at the beginning of the week, and the Enns city tower can now be visited again as usual, the municipality informs. The “major” facade renovation will take place as planned this spring.
