“Enlightened with her family” .. The deletion of “Shahid” of a series hours before its presentation raises controversy

The heroes of the Egyptian series “Munawwarah Behliha” were surprised by its removal from the Saudi “Shahid” platform, hours before it was shown.

The series’ author, Muhammad Amin Radi, said that everything related to the series had been deleted from the platform’s social networking sites.

And he added in a tweet on Twitter: “The series’ announcement page has been deleted from the platform, although we are less than 8 hours away from the show date announced by the Shahid platform. I don’t have any information. Is it a technical error or there is another reason…” .

Shahid did not announce the reasons for deleting the series, which she had promoted over the past weeks.

This decision came on the eve of the announcement of one of the series’ heroes, on behalf of Samra, of his solidarity with the artist, Muhammad Sobhi, in his dispute with the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh.

Samra wrote on his page: “With all love, I support the Egyptian artist, the Diagnostic, Mohamed Sobhi,” before calling for an attack on the “ignorant” without specifying anyone by name.

During the past few days, a dispute arose over the communication sites between the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority and the artist, Muhammad Sobhi, following the latter’s statement that he “rejected offers of “millions” to work in Saudi Arabia.”

In response to these statements, the Sheikh Sobhi family described him as “my personalities”, and said: “God, I am my father (I want) to know the one who offered millions to him, a prophet (we should) reveal his mental faculties… In general, her fondness has receded.

And through his account on Facebook, Muhammad Sobhi wrote without referring directly to any party: “I pity the “ignorant” who suffers from his ignorance.” The comment was attached to a scene from the series “A Very Poor Rich Man,” which he starred in, a series that tells the story of a rich man who discovers that he is poor. Very because he does not have reassurance.

And the publication stated: “I am talking regarding the series A Very Poor Rich Man, which was presented in 2007… The meaning: What is the value of a man being rich in his money, and poor in his knowledge and morals.”

Sobhi’s statements came following the Egyptian actor, Hassan Al-Raddad, sparked controversy following he said while he was in Saudi Arabia: “I want (I want) to live in Saudi Arabia because of all this love (all this love), and artistic activity in Riyadh remained a strategic place and kept coming out of it ( It comes out of it) great works of art.”

For his part, Sobhi spoke of “an exaggeration in the Egyptians’ travel and their going to Saudi Arabia to present works of art that are sometimes not good,” while stressing his respect for Saudi Arabia’s desire to be a source of radiation in the region.
