Avenue du Mont-Royal, pedestrian during the summer, was very busy as well as the terraces there, Friday at noon.
The same is true in Old Montreal, an area very popular with tourists. A few people wore an N95 mask, but they were rare.
However, the cities of Montreal and Laval have closed some of their sports facilities, including swimming pools, paddling pools and beaches. However, the situation changes during the day: swimming pools closed in the morning reopened in the followingnoon. The water games were functional and very busy.

“We are not going to help living either,” commented a woman to TVA Nouvelles. “We thought we were going to go out a bit this morning and go back inside this followingnoon. We’re going to limit our exposure, but it’s a holiday. The little ones still have to move, ”said another mother.
“I spent the week in Saguenay, and it was really worse. For me today I breathe very well, ”says another person.
A hundred forest fires are still raging in Quebec, many of which are out of control.
