The Spanish tourism company Enjoy Travel Group (ETG) announced that next summer it will open a new direct flight between Madrid and Havana. Its vice president of marketing and sales, Luís Jiménez, revealed that the trips will take place between June 29 and September 7.
The firm will use, for this purpose, a Plus Ultra company plane, an A330-200 aircraft with 288 seats, with 24 in Business class. The company’s senior executive assured that “for the first time, agreements have been closed with the most important high-speed train companies in Spain.
This achieves a better connection from the different provinces of the Iberian Peninsula to the Spanish capital. From there it is linked to flights to Havana.”
The current agreement also directly benefits the main international hotel chains and management groups of linked travel agencies.
Enjoy Travel Group successfully participated in the Madrid International Tourism Fair. Contacts were established with major tour operators and retail agencies.
This conclave turned out to be the ideal space to close the air operation between Madrid and Havana. Enjoy Travel Group had complete success in previous similar trips that linked Barcelona and the capital of Cuba.
Interested operators
Luís Jiménez stated that his firm recently closed several agreements with operators interested in trips to the Island. He recalls that Enjoy Travel Group has been a receptive vertical wholesale operator for more than two decades. It now offers 24-hour customer assistance and advice in Cuba, as well as complete circuit and combined programs.
Regarding Accessible Tourism, the specialist commented that “it is an initiative that includes seven-day packages in Havana. In addition, it has all the receptive options that Cuba offers, as one of the most beautiful and accessible cultural destinations in the Caribbean.”
