Open-air cinemas offer convivial evenings to enjoy the summer by watching films on the big screen. The City of Geneva is offering a special edition in July with many outdoor sessions in different places in the city.
Cine Transat at the Pearl of the Lake
Cine Transat returns to the Perle du Lac with several film screening sessions from July 13 to 16, 20 to 23, and 27 to 30. This park has become a must in Geneva to enjoy open-air cinema. Enjoy a cinematic, summertime experience following dark. On the program, a variety of films such as “Yesterday”, “Beating Drum”, “Shrek 2”, “The New Button War” and “Kung Fu Hustle”.
The “choreoke” evening with Ciné Transat takes place on July 29. Each year, you are offered a special evening. This summer, you can attend a “choreoke” evening mixing dance and karaoke with legendary films and video clips. The screening begins around 9:30 p.m. for a duration of two hours. You can rent a deckchair for 5 francs to take full advantage of this open-air cinematic experience. Don’t forget to bring your picnic, because only the refreshment bar offers drinks.
Allianz Cinema at Quai Gustave-Ador
Allianz Cinema offers a chance to see the big movies you may have missed this year, from July 3 to August 26, at Quai Gustave-Ador. Don’t miss blockbusters such as “Jeanne du Barry”, “The Little Mermaid”, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” and “Avatar: The Way of the Water”. Comedy dramas like “Little Victories” are also on the program, as well as new releases, such as “Barbie” with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, “Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny” and the Disney cartoon “Elementary”.
Open-air cinema in Vernier
The City of Vernier and the ABARC association are offering, among other things, a free screening accompanied by a friendly picnic in Balexert Park. The French film “Les femmes du square” will be broadcast on July 15 from 8:30 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. In case of bad weather, the session will unfortunately be cancelled. Many other films are in the program during summer.
Cinema Signal in Bernex
Enjoy cinema sessions under the starry sky at Signal de Bernex July 7-9. Three films are to (re)discover: the comedy “Our happy days”, the social tale “Looking for Eric” and the dramatic comedy “Last Dance”. Be sure to get a lounge chair, as numbers are limited. Before the screenings, a short animated film will be presented in collaboration with the festival Black Movie. A refreshment bar and snacks will be available from 8 p.m.
