Sony and Apple are teaming up to offer up to 6 months free of Apple TV Plus — the big tech streaming platform that features Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and other famous productions in the catalog — for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 users.
Offer valid through July 31, 2023 for new Apple TV Plus users only. Free access to limited-time content requires a PlayStation Network account and an Apple ID. The offer is 6 months free for PS5 owners and 3 months free for PS4 users.
Redemption can only be made via one of Sony’s eligible consoles. To purchase the six-month trial period on a PlayStation 5, follow these steps:
Search for the Apple TV app in the PlayStation 5 search bar or click “All Apps” on the media home page; Download and open the Apple TV app and follow the on-screen instructions; Sign in or create an Apple ID if you don’t already have one.
For PlayStation 4 users, the process is just as simple:

It’s not the first time that Apple TV Plus has been offered free to Sony console users. By providing a free streaming trial period for PlayStation owners — as well as televisions from TCL and Samsung — the company aims to attract new subscribers to its extensive catalog of original films, series and documentaries.

Apple TV Plus loses space in Brazil
A survey carried out by JustWatch pointed out the largest streaming platforms in Brazil. Netflix is still the leader in subscriptions in the country, boasting a 30% market share. Just below, Amazon Prime Video holds 20% of the segment. The podium is closed by Disney Plus, with 15% of market share.
During the analyzed period, between January 1 and March 31, 2023, the Apple TV Plus ranked 7th with just 3% market sharesuggesting that the Cupertino giant’s platform ended up losing space with the rise of other services, such as Star Plus, HBO Max and Globoplay.
