As part of the Communal Plan for Rural Development (PCDR), the Commune of Bastogne will make an investment of 110,000 euros for the years 2023-2024 for development in various villages. A bench and a grassy area will be installed on the forecourts of the chapels of Cobru and Hemroulle. Street furniture and a bin of “incredible edibles” (small self-service vegetable garden) will complete the development in the first village, plantations in the second.
In Senonchamps, the surroundings of the chapel will be redeveloped. In addition, the potato cellar will be restored and the connection on the national 4 to reach the Roman road secured. In Villers-la-Bonne-Eau, a bench will be installed near the small chapel and the site will be re-grassed and will also host a bin of “incredible edibles”. In Wardin, a picnic area will be created near the multisport area. A pedestrian connection will be made between the village house, the school and the multisport area. Finally, in Michamps, the square located in the heart of the village will be fitted out for more conviviality. A damping floor will be laid and will accommodate a fenced playground for children (spring games, slide, swing, football goal, ground games – hopscotch and snake). A bin of “Incredible Edibles” and plantations are also planned in the project.
€89,000 in 2024-2025
Development work is also scheduled for the year 2024-2025 with an envelope of 89,000 euros devoted to this purpose. The monument located in the center of the village of Benonchamps, will be cleared in order to be more prominently displayed. Regrassed, the site will be equipped with a bench on a concrete slab as well as a bin of “Incredible Edibles”. A (light) fence will be placed along the road to secure the perimeter. In Bras, the grassed area near the water trough will be fitted out including a picnic area (table under the roof), games for children (spring games on damping ground) and a water trough. ‘”Incredible Edibles”. Trees and shrubs will adorn the space, which will be re-grassed. In Neffe, floor games (hopscotch and snake) will be designed on the square next to the chapel and access to the RAVeL will be created there.
In Villers-la-Bonne-Eau, at a place called “la Betlange”, grass slabs will be laid to accommodate a picnic area (table under the roof). Finally, in Harzy, a playground will be set up near the chapel. This one, laid out on a damping floor, will include a swing, a slide and spring games. The site, which will also host a picnic area (table under the roof) and a bin of “Incredible Edibles”, will be planted (trees and shrubs) and re-grassed.
