The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, discussed with US Vice President Kamala Harris the efforts made to enhance the urgent response to the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and intensify relief aid to affected civilians in light of the continuing military escalation taking place in the Strip.
During a phone call received by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed from Harris, the discussions stressed the priority of working to stop the deterioration of the humanitarian conditions of civilians in Gaza and protecting their lives in accordance with international humanitarian law, in addition to delivering more relief aid and providing safe corridors to enable humanitarian organizations to carry out their role in that matter.
The call also touched on the need to push towards a clear path to achieve a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace that ensures the preservation of stability in the region and avoids a widening cycle of violence and more crises.
